I had my hair done for my wedding my Marie at Blackstones! We made a few appointments 6 months prior to get my hair in good condition. I have very thin hair and Marie was very knowledgeable in which product and supplements I should be using and providing me with a really great hair routine to get my hair ready for the big day. She had great suggestions for a style that would work for my hair type and my look! I am also not the type of person that gets my hair done (natural look/wake up and go over here) and Marie was patient with me and my quest to find a style that would I would love. We had a hair trial (highly recommend you give yourself plenty of time here) as Marie could try a few options and we could tweak some things if needed. When it came time for the big day, Marie was organized, timely and very professional. I loved what she did and highly recommend going to her for your hair. Overall great experience!

Marie Karla has been cutting my hair for years. Her attention to detail and amazing aesthetic keeps the compliments coming on my cuts! Edgy yet not over the top, she has an incredible eye for modern styles, and cuts to perfection. I fell in love with Blackstones immediately. The salon is beautiful, light and welcoming and the team offers outstanding service. I wish I could spend all day here.

After 11 years of thoughtful cuts, even during times that I didn't live in NYC full-time, I can recommend Marie Karla's hair expertise without hesitation. For years now it is not uncommon for strangers to approach me on the street or elsewhere to ask who cuts my hair, especially during the fresh weeks after I've gotten a new cut. I'm moving to Berkeley, CA next week and still plan to see her when I am in NYC to visit.

Marie Karla has been my hairstylist for over a decade and she is so incredibly talented. I have referred her to many people, some of whom travel from out of town just to get a haircut with her. She is also such a lovely person! I can’t recommend her enough.

Marie is the absolute best! So professional and does an incredible job with my color and cut each time. I’ve been going to her for about 6-7 years and wouldn’t consider going to anyone else.
