I popped in yesterday to check prices for full foils. I was shown the price list and while $180 was higher than my at home stylist charges I thought I’d splurge because it’s been over 15 years since I’ve had a salon cut. I was very happy with the results and Phillip did a great job. I couldn’t quite understand everything because his accent is pretty heavy. I was not happy at all when I left the salon. The bill came was close to $274, almost $100 more than quoted. I told him that when I came earlier I was told it would be $180. He pulled out the price list and showed me it was printed as $180 +. I didn’t notice that little plus sign and if it was a little more the $180 or if I had really long hair (which I don’t -it’s to my shoulders) I wouldn’t complain, but almost $100 difference? Like I said, I haven’t been to a salon for a long time but is this normal practice? I feel like I was hoodwinked and there’s not much I can do about it after the hair treatment was complete. 🙁
