I’m only giving 2 stars because I loved the girl who washed my hair. She was the most friendliest one there that made my day and my experience the best part at suki’s. If it weren’t for her, I’d give 1 star. I first went in, no one greeted me or acknowledged me. I stood there for a bit before the receptionist finally even looked at me. She literally talked to me like I couldn’t afford a hair cut. First of all, I am a professional and what I make in a week is probably what she made in a whole month. Ok, I held it.. continued in and went with Judy, the hair stylist. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do it but my hair is thin(which other hair dressers have not had this problem) she made me stand for 15 mins so she could cut my hair. Who the hell makes their customers stand for a hair cut? She parted my hair in the middle and I told her that is not how I part my hair. I part it differently, she insisted on knowing what she’s doing. Then about 1.5 hours later, my hair looked nothing like the picture I showed her. I already knew it’s too late, it cannot look like the haircut I wanted, so I tried to make the best of it and at least ask her to make my hair look somewhat the way I wanted. She kept telling me the hair style I want is the wrong way and she has guidelines. My hair should not look like that. She also kept implying my skin is oily. I told her no, I have extremely dry skin. I’m born with a skin condition. She said that my doctor and my dermatologist skin specialist/ doctor and Sephora are all wrong and that she’s right. I was getting to the point where I just wanted to walk out, still held it because I did not want to walk out with left side longer than right side. It was so uneven for at least two inches in the front. it went to the point where I was like, ok. This is enough. I watched how other hair stylists there treated their clients and I was wishing I had them instead. They were smiling and cutting their clients hair in the chair while I was standing and at the end I heard one of them asked, are you happy? Is there anything that you would like me to fix? Instead, I got one that kept arguing with me. Anyway, it doesn’t matter if a hair salon is cheaper or more expensive. You will only get good service and an amazing hair cut if you are lucky enough to cross paths with an experienced hair stylist or a great salon. Just because they work at a certain place That’s high end doesn’t mean they’re good. I tried to be the better person and still walked out saying thank you with a smile.
