We have had nothing but great experiences at this location. My son refused to let anyone get near his hair and after months of trying at other places we went to Cookie Cutters. The stylist was SO PATIENT and kind to him. She did a great job of making him feel comfortable! My older son is treated like the big boy that he is and both boys look forward to haircuts now. They do tend to be busy. We go with the understanding that they are working with little kids that don't always sit still for a quick cut. I appreciate that they show my sons the same patience, so we use the wait time for the kids to play on the slide.

When we went to get my 4 year old son's hair cut the lady who cut his hair, Sara, was very cold at first. My son is autistic and is very hit-and-miss on how he is going to react during haircuts. Sara began cutting his hair and everything was going fine. A few times he would get grouchy and our favorite stylist Amanda came over to redirect him and keep him happy. After Amanda left my son got upset because he had hair on his face and it was itchy and Sara became annoyed and started rushing the haircut which made my son say "ouch" several times, and also left many red marks all over his neck and face. When he started crying and wouldn't let her finish I took him to the bathroom to calm him down and Sara made my husband pay for the haircut and when we came out to finish our haircut Sara had went into the back room and didn't come back out for 10 minutes and when she did come out she acted like the hair cut was finished, so we ended up asking for the only other stylist there to finish my son's haircut. With my son being autistic it is very hard to get him to get a haircut and now after such a traumatic experience I worry that he will now fear getting his hair cut. While the other stylist was finishing my son's haircut Sara was cutting another child's hair and the little girl asked if she could go potty when Sara said "can't you hold it?" I'm not sure if she should be working with children with such little patience and a poor attitude. Hopefully she doesn't scare any other kids from getting haircuts and learns how to be a better stylist.

We have had a couple of good haircuts in the past, but not our experience today. We had a new stylist- I hadn't seen her before- who obviously did not have much experience. She didn't look at the picture of how I wanted my son's hair cut to look for more than 2 seconds before announcing "Yep just a scissor cut." She proceeded to lob off my sons hair all the way around his head, and jabbed his thankfully closed eye in the process. When I informed her that she almost got his eye she said that she didn't and she had "complete control." I almost walked out right then... and I should have. She got the buzzers out to go around his ears which he does not like. Instead of distracting him like they normally do, she tries holding his head tightly against her own body, which made me uncomfortable considering his eye was almost poked a minute before... he wiggles and the buzzers slip a good inch leaving a terrible notch in his hair. The only saving grace was a second stylist came over and tried to salvage what had been done, evening things out some and adding a little texture. Thank goodness for her, but she could only do so much. :(

This used to be a great place but has gone downhill lately. We went here for a walk in and the place was empty without a single customer and the stylists were sitting down. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait because of appointments that hadn't shown up yet. Obviously they don't need our business so we won't be going back.
