Let me start by saying this is the worst service I have ever received. If I could give negative stars I would. At this point I’m furious. I called indies on Saturday June 9th about getting my hair done (box braids). I asked For the owner because that’s who I wanted to do my hair based on reviews. She told me she had openings I came a couple hours later. When I got there she told me 200 which I didn’t make a big deal because I have thick hair. Moving forward after stating to her I only want her to do my hair moments later she and another lady started braiding my hair (she was in the front the other lady was in the back). At this point I got irritated but trying not to be confrontational I let them do there job. Once finishing from what I could see my hair looked fine. She asked me if she could leave it down instead of a bun and I agreed because I didn’t want tension from it being pulled up. I got home and looked at my hair all over and that’s when the problem occurred. My hair was so spaced out and bulky at the roots from where the other lady had braided my hair. Their work was nothing alike. The owner only did maybe 3 or so rows in my head which I didn’t know until examining my hair. I called her she told me to come in and I did. I showed her my hair and she asked what could she do to fix it. I asked what did she recommend because I’m very unsatisfied. She told me to take my hair down an come back Sunday (June 17th) at the time they were busy so I agreed (has a witness). Sunday comes I get to the shop she getting ready to do my hair an tells me that I will have to pay her 100$ which is half the price because I took my whole head down and I should have left up what she (the owner) did. That’s when we got into an heated argument. I told her I wasn’t paying anything that’s not what we discussed prior and showed her the pictures that I took of my hair because I had a feeling something like this was going to happen. We yelled at each other and I told her I was taking her to court and left. Monday morning I will be at the courthouse.
