I usually don't do reviews and I most certainly don't like to speak negatively of small/black businesses but I just can't. I've been let down on my 2 most recent appointments here and I'm over it. Last time, I sent a picture and message just to be clear of the style I wanted, I get here and was told by Mona that I need white ppl hair for feedin/stitch braids, that it won't work on me and that she HAD to use rubberbands ( I took a class in Indianapolis and SHES WRONG - I was taught how to do it without rubberbands) Needless to say, I went elsewhere. 1. How dare you ?! 2. Since when ? 3. Just say you can't do it. I actually got them done in Indianapolis at the time of the braiding class. Now the new incident... Now, I specifically said I only want her to do my hair and if it's a problem to let me know. She says ok. We talk 20 mins before I pull up, confirming my ETA. I get here; all of the lights are off and she's telling me that the girl she left to do my hair left even though she told her to wait for me and that it'll be 20 mins for her to come back. I wasted 1.5 hrs in traffic, $20 in gas, hair not done and I'm hhhhhhhheeeeeated. Just say you didn't want to do it. I always tip and I've even dropped y'all off before. My mom has too. I have been coming here since I was in HS and I'm 27 now. I live in PA and STILL drive to support this shop. I'm super annoyed and feel insulted after all of this time. I'll just book with a Philly stylist. 🗣MY MONEY GETS SPENT EVERYWHERE 🤷🏾♀️
