Completely disappointed by the lack of merchandise in stock and by the lack of knowledge by the worker. I was looking to purchase a roller ball perfume named Lady Million which I had purchased at a different Ulta location. Since I didn't see it in stock, I asked the sales associate for guidance. Not only did she not know the perfume, but she couldn't even make a suggestion for a fresh, clean even powdery sent I requested. She asked the manager for help and gave some great suggestions. However, two of the three choices were out of stock!

I’m closer to the Ulta at East Brunswick. They are nice there I might say but my son works around Marlboro so I tend to go there. Every time I ask for help I get the run around and at times they help you and in the middle of helping you they say they are going to get something and they get caught with another customer and forget about you🤨 They should say I’m so sorry but I’m helping a customer I will get someone to help you. Anyways I KNOW ALOT ABOUT MAKEUP, I’m a makeup junkie, but I love to see what’s new now and change stuff up! A lot of the manager are kind of rude an snobby but there is one there as THAT I LOVE. I DONT SEE HER I LEAVE BUT WHEN SHE IS THERE YEAP I DO DAMAGE! Her name is YVETTE!! SHE IS HANDS DOWN AMAZING!! She is funny, she’s a people person, and her mood is always happy and she shows me what’s new and what’s a must buy!! Its hard getting good customer service and this place needs more people like Yvette!! I HOPE SHE NEVER LEAVES THIS PLACE BECAUSE SHE MAKES ULTA RUN SMOOTHER AND SHE IS LOUD BUT IN A GOOD WAY! She always even when I see a customer that is not happy and still moody or b!tchy because usually due to the lack of help, she always looks for a way for the customer to be satisfied and leave happy! I was one of them 🤫 I love her and I hope she never leaves because if she does then sorry Ulta at Manalapan you will lose this customer!! I don’t write reviews at all but when you get good customer service and the person goes beyond to help you eventhough an associate didn’t help them, she will step up and try to make your experience there GOOD! YVETTE THANK YOU FOR BEING A WONDERFUL JOLLY HAPPY PERSON!! People like yourself are hard to find!! ULTA SHE DESERVES EMPLOYEE NOT OF THE MONTH BUT OF THE YEAR!! Keep it up!!! Managers and supervisors please learn from her, it’s not always being snotty or rude like customers are going there to give you a hard time, some customers need guidance or just to have small talk and chat about makeup so they can buy. I give YVETTE 5 stars but Ulta a 3!!

I would not recommend the salon for make-up or hair.  I booked 2 appointments at this salon 3 months in advance for prom.  Although I had a wonderful consultation with Bree on the phone, the make-up appointment was taken by another cosmetician who made my daughter look heavily made up and completely inappropriate for the make-up of a youthful 17 year old attending prom.  When I mentioned the make-up wasn't good and I wanted someone else to work on my other daughter, I was responded to by the hair stylist who did my daughter's hair in a nasty manner "we are fully booked".  While my daughter was still waiting 20 minutes to have her hair done, I asked this same girl if someone would attend to her soon, she told me to relax.  I said I am relaxed, I am just asking a question.  At this point, I TOOK A DEEP BREATH AND LEFT THE STORE TO CALM MYSELF DOWN.  The salon manager was made aware that I was unhappy and never came out to say anything.  As I was paying my bill and leaving, the store manager happened to cash me out and asked me if I left the girls a tip.  I said, yes, I tipped who I wanted to.  She asked me if I was willing to give feedback and I spent about 10 minutes explaining to her and even showing her a text about how unhappy my daughter was with her make-up that she was going to go home to try and fix it.  She asked if I was willing to speak to the salon manager and I asked her what could you possibly do at this point?  She mentioned a refund for the make-up.  Well, great except no-one has called or followed up.  Which is even worse than not offering anything at all.  I told her this is my daughter's prom, its a big day for me and I left during make-up because I was so upset with your staff.  Your staff took something away from what should have been a really happy day.  Shame on you Ulta for poor customer service and follow through.  I waited a week to post this to see if you would call and you didn't except now I'm not mad or disappointed since poor customer service starts at the top. There are so many salons in Marlboro you guys need to up your game if you plan to stay in business.
