Well that was me: butchered by so called professionals who never listened to what I wanted, made promises that I'd keep my length, or had me convinced that they "knew" curly hair... which is what I have in abundance. There was no way I was going to pay $100+ at some NYC specialty salon, so, I had given up on the "pros" and had been cutting my own hair for years - until I met Erika.
I accompanied my mom who had just gotten a haircut, that looked like it had been done by a 7 year old with vengeance. Ever see those chickens that have the punk rock looking head - feathers short and sticking out every... never mind. It HAD to be fixed. She was referred to Lief Beauty Boutique by a friend.
We walk in, and I am immediately impressed by the decor, and amazing style of the salon - which Erika did herself. Okay, I'm no fool, the beauty and invitation of this perfect little oasis could easily be smoke and mirrors. She could be just like the rest of them (the pros). I seriously had my doubts as to how this super cool, totally down-to-earth, confident woman was going to fix my mom's choppy mullet cut.
But as they say proof is in the pudding. And it was.
Erika did an amazing job. Too amazing in fact that I booked an appointment for myself - hey, she said she knew curly hair.
I am now a lifer.
She knows her stuff.
She ended up doing hair and make-up for my sister's wedding.
We have been nothing but surprisingly pleased by Erika's talents.
Finally! Thank You Erika.
