I moved to the area a few months ago and was long overdue for a cut. I checked out ‘The Hair Room’ because of all the great reviews I’ve read, and all of the pictures I’d seen made me think it would be right up my alley aesthetic wise. Let me tell you... If I could give this establishment 100 stars, I would! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile and ‘hello’ from multiple stylists, offered refreshments, and so on. The decor and over all vibe are killer. Awesome floral wallpaper, blush pink walls, high silver ceilings, birdcages and vintage suitcases...I adored every aspect. My appointment was right on schedule, and my stylist was AMAZING! I booked my appointment with Sibel, and she did an outstanding job. She did a major overhaul on my long and ragged-looking locks. She listened to my ideas, threw in some of her own creative spunk, and voila! Sibel gave me a fun, layered and textured bob with bangs. I highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone! I will be back

I’ve been here a few times and was never very happy with my cut. Despite saying to not be afraid and tonplease cut off all the dead ends, Siobhan (sp?) never did. I had requested the owner a couple of times via their appointment booking system, thinking she’d have more experience, but the appointments would get accepted initally, then cancelled. When going in I’m never really greeted by he owner, she has outright ignored me when I’ve gone in. She also charged me 3 different prices for hair braiding, each time it’s been a different price, from $20-$35. I don’t feel welcome there, the pricing is always different and the haircuts haven’t been great. I don’t understand the positive reviews but I do know the owner often asks her friends to post good reviews, which probably explains it. Some of those “friends” contact people who put honest, yet negative, reviews up and bully them into taking them down. After having put up a 2 star FB review detailing the same here a while back, (after my last braid that cost $35), two of the owners friends contacted me to call me names and pressure me to remove the review, which I did. I never see myself going back and I now see this company in a negative light.

Not sure if it was my stylist or the product but this was a terrible experience. I usually go to their competitor around the corner but wanted to try this because it had good reviews. I went for color and haircut. I presented the exact hair cut I wanted, it was a picture of myself after the previous haircut. I presented a picture of the hair color I wanted. Each procedure was $75, $75 for hair $75 for color. The results are so incredibly horrible and outrageous! I don't even know what to say. The color I wanted was one color auburn all over, like the picture you can find that I posted. I got a fashion red color on just the tips of my hair. I asked for volume and got a flat, shapeless cut which was not even properly blown out, and not a single product was used. I even left with the color still on my forehead. The manager offered that I not pay for the color on account of it being awful but both results are shameful. This looks like a $10 mall haircut. I messaged manager on Instagram twice and she said she'd get back to me but 3 days later, still no message. I feel like I have given a few chances to have this rectified and I was ignored.. See pictures I posted of what I wanted vs what I got, taken right after I walked out and sent to the manager. I have no other intention other than getting the service I requested from professionals, and that wasn't what I received. I've heard nothing from the manager to rectify this other than a note on Instagram her saying she'll get back to me.
