Cut & Hairstyling

I went to Shadified on Parsons rd…. In Ellerslie, to get my very long hair cut and styled I was not introduced to my stylist, & there was no conversation other than I showed him a picture of a layered cut that I wanted! He dry cut it, although it was waist length in the back… He chopped it up so bad I left there upset and cried when I got home…I now have to find another stylist to finish the mess he created! It looks like two distinct layers, the length and a choppy layer a couple of inches from the length which is totally noticeable bcuz it’s so much thicker where it’s shorter! Absolutely disgusting and don’t recommend this place at all….

As always, it was a pleasure going to see Ray! He's never let me down and his years of experience shine through his dedication to his craft and patience he has to make sure you're leaving 100% satisfied. There's no other place I'll go!! So excited for Ray to do my hair on my wedding day too!!

I explored some Google reviews before going in to get my hair done. I usually don't trust them but when Ray started to work on my hair, he cared about how every step of the process was going. My hair color turned out amazing and I'm definitely going back to him!

Mike, one of the hairdressers at the Ellerslie location is awesome. He understands instructions and does a pretty good job on the haircut. 5 starts for his service. On the contrary, a girl named Tony or Toby (not sure) did my 4 year old kid's hair cut and messed it up big time. She cut the hair too deep from the back on both sides behind the ear. When I told her that she cut it too deep and it does not looks good, she said 'Oh, your kid moved too much'. I said to her that he could not have moved that much that you managed to mess his hair cut from both sides on the back of his head and she could have waited or asked him to stay still, her response was 'Oh, he moved a lot when you were not looking' (I was sitting right in the next chair waiting for Mike to come in). So, as I understand, my 4 yr old must have started doing hip hop, while sitting in the chair getting a hair cut from her, when I was not looking and as soon as I looked at him, he sat still. What an irresponsible behavior from her. Blaming the kid for her incompetence and not even offering to fix her BAD JOB done. Disgusted at her response. She does not know what she is doing. Go to Mike for haircuts.

Best place to get a cut in Edmonton. Great atmosphere and service. Everyone is polite and pleasant. If you want the smoothest fade and line up make sure you see Abe..you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend this place.

Love this place! I don’t go often but it’s the only place I will take my kids to get there hair done. My oldest daughter loves Rays work and enjoys how he makes her feel like a star with all his attention and wonderful attitude. My son enjoys it because he’s a young man and young men like to feel important too and he def felt great the one time I was allowed to take him for a hair cut lol We haven’t been there for a couple years tho. I recently went back and got fixed up perfectly with Jess who corrected what I had going on with my hair. She’s super friendly and with her attention to detail and willingness to work with what I had, I’ll def be back but this place is great so it shouldn’t be a surprise. Wonderful staff!! Thanks so much
