She is amazing. I don't know her name, but she's always open and always gives me a better version of what I tell her I want. :D This time, I brought in a picture of Rihanna, she made a few editorial calls, and I look like a million bucks. For $17!!!! (I always give her a big tip.)
My husband is an even bigger fan. He discovered her when he was at JJ Bean (a few doors south) and wanted an impulse haircut. Usually, when he visits someplace with a barber pole outside, he asks for a "1960s mad men" haircut... and they give him a military cut. She was the first barber who "got it."
She has excellent technique, like what you'd find at a high-end salon, but she's more open to experimentation if that's what you'd like. I've seen some neighbourhood kids walk out of there with racing stripes. Rad.
