Shocked

I've been with teknik for a long time. Always, always have been happy with how my hair looks and the service. That's not the issue. Pre covid. It was pricy. But that whole saying... ya pay for what you get! It was justifiable. Recently, and a couple of visits in between lockdowns. I am disappointed with how much the prices have gone up. It's not justifiable for me to pay the amount I paid and I'm so shocked that they are doing this as well as not informing their customers of the price increase. Unfortunately I have to look elsewhere.

My autistic brother has always had a really hard time going to hair stylists and had to get buzz cuts from my mom because no hair dresser understood the needs of special need child. At Teknik, it brought a different light in my brother life. Not only does he get greeted with open arms every time he comes in, but he leaves the hair salon confident. Domenic, Vince, and Lesley are the reason my brother can get awesome hair cuts and leave super happy. What Iâ€™m trying to say is, the staff at Teknik is superb! I absolutely love the work they do on my hair and my families hair. It leaves me in awe every time I leave. I 10/10 recommend. The best hair salon in KW.

After being referred here to see Andrea I was incredibly excited. As a working Mama it's really hard to find the time to make and get to appointments, so when I'm able to I like to make sure I'm going to a beautiful salon where I'm going to feel pampered. The first half of the appointment was wonderful. Andrea chatted with me about my hair history and what I was looking to have done. I had a great wash/shampoo and then moved to the chair to have my cut. As she was beginning to dry my hair she was made aware her next client had arrived and then thats when the appointment changed. The final dry cut and style were very quick and I was not shown the back of my hair. I definitely could've asked, but I had already asked if she could put a serum on my hair as there were lots of fly aways. It all just seemed super rushed so she could move onto her next client. That all being said, the salon is gorgeous and clean, the front desk staff are lovely and my cut turned out great. I just felt kind of sad leaving the appointment as these are my times to get away and feel pampered, and by the end I felt like an inconvenience. :(

I love Teknik! Always professional. Always knowledgeable. Always kind and generous and fun! I travel an hour to enjoy the experience of this salon. My colour is always gorgeous. I am a very busy person and time is limited for my visit. They make sure to stay on schedule so I may be able to leave in the fastest time possible. They donâ€™t rush my wonderful massaging hair wash though! Bliss. Christina is presently doing my hair and she is simply wonderful! Very talented and lovely to spend time with. Fortunately, if she isnâ€™t available, with my limited schedule, I can trust any other stylist there will be able to also do a great job. I highly recommend this salon! xo

Extremely friendly staff. Andrea did a fantastic job. She gave me suggestions and she seemed very talented I ended up with a better result than what I had in mind. Great service.

I have been here a few times now and have nothing but amazing experiences! Everyone there is so sweet and so accommodating, you feel like family. Andrea is my usual stylist, my first visit she did a complete hair makeover to say the least and I was blown away... needless to say, I'm keeping her forever! My most recent visit, sadly Andrea was sick but they were more than wonderful and got me in to see someone else. I was desperate so agreed. Vince to the rescue!! That man! Absolutely love him! I more or less gave him full charge of my hair and I couldn't be happier! I 100% recommend Teknik!!
