was expecting a completely different experience

went in with hair that was almost touching my butt. said i wanted it cut short, she explained why she disagreed. agreed with her and changed my mind. instead told her to keep the length but layer it to have more volume. she was all for it. she had already started cutting the bottom before she decided to let me know that she'd be cutting an inch all around - too late for me to agree or disagree. mid session she made a point to say "i would love to see you with a fro". i understood exactly what i'd be ending up with as soon as she said that. this is two day before my easter and i currently have hair that doesn't touch my shoulders. the roundness of it wasn't even done right. it doesn't frame my face. it is too short to do anything other than pineapple on the top of my head. best part is she realized how frustrated i was during the session and even made comments, more than once, along the lines of "you seem so stressed" "you seem so angry" "your face says it all". clearly my face didn't say enough.

Finally after reading a lot of reviews, asking people around and contemplating like forever, I chose The Curl Ambassadors to get first really short hair cut appointment. What can i say, from the friendliness of the staff, to the ambiance to a fantastic haircut it was all a wonderful experience. I was particularly concerned about the way my hair would be cut since i was getting them short and I am really happy with the hair cut I received. Nicole was assigned to me and I found her is extremely warm, comforting and patient. She took a lot of time in carefully cutting my hair, making sure its not left uneven and spending a good amount of time on diffusing my curls. I love brands when they go out of their way and follow up. I received a follow up email to check on my curls and if I had any questions. That is for me excellent customer service. This is going to be my go to place for a curly hair haircut!

I got a little hand out teaching me how to take care of my hair. Olivia explained everything she was doing from start to finish. I didn't feel pressured to buy any products but did anyway because I wanted to. Thank you for showing me what I can do with my natural hair. I love you Olivia, in a platonic and appreciative way. I highly recommend going to get some taco bell after your experience at CA. I also highly recommend CA.

BLEACHED MY SHIRT NO COMPENSATION BEWARE!!!! On Tuesday, I was at the Curl Ambassador getting highlights done by Nicole. While Nicole was washing my hair she told me to sit up with no towel and that’s when I felt the back of my shirt wet. The bleach in my hair soaked my shirt! After I was done at the salon, I went home and saw that the back of my shirt was bleached and ruined. Within minutes I called the salon but no one answered. I went back to the salon to show what the stylist had done and asked if they could compensate for the bleached shirt but the owners were very rude and refused. The salon offered a discount for my next hair appointment but how does that fix my bleached shirt? The next day I got an email from the owner ( In the pic below) stating that “it is best and better to part ways from all locations”. I’m utterly shocked by how I was treated at the salon, will definitely not go back!

I visited the salon to get a cut and color. I found the cut wasn't really worth the $50 - she just made a few quick cuts and that part was over. The colouring was alright - I asked for partial highlights and it kind of came out like she dyed almost my entire head. I think what got me was the experience. My stylist was so friendly and amazing, giving me a lot of tips on how to style my hair. I haven't decided whether or not I'll be back, but if you're looking for a more drastic cut I do recommend.

I’m very disappointed in this visit to Curl Ambassadors in Vaughn. I had appointments for both myself as well as my daughter. Booked over a month ago, for the the same time and date, which happened to be my birthday. They had a stylist call in the night before and instead of calling or email to let me know and confirm rescheduling my appointment, they took it upon themselves. So after driving 2.5 hours from My house, which is no where near Vaughn, which they have on file btw. Only my daughter was able to get her hair done. Because they didn’t have the courtesy to call me and let me know. Not only did they pretty much ruin my birthday, but they also made me waste my time and money to drive all the way out there! They also did absolutely nothing to try and rectify the situation. Not even an apology.
