I really don't like complaining about a haircut because I know it is more perspective of the person versus the cut itself which is why I waited a week with my new cut to just live with it BUT I can't not leave any feedback:
1. This is the first time I have been to this salon and the first time I have gone to a salon where the hair dresser didn't even see my hair dry before cutting it - this I think would have been really helpful for the future and to help communication. Going straight to wash your hair and seeing the hair dresser with wet hair she had no idea of my hair texture (even though I did my best to explain) usually I feel like this simple step goes a long way instead of just rushing into snip snip which is what it felt like
Because my hair is very straight and does not have the most volume I feel like the cut I was given did not match my hair texture and not doing anything for me which maybe could have been avoided if we communicated and actually touched my hair dry.
2. While my hair was first cut and wet I knew it wasn't the length I wanted and communicated at which point she mentioned she would finish the rest of the cut when it was dry. She did a dry cut, cutting a couple more inches off and there so many random lengths bits left over now as a result.
I thought of messaging to try and fix it but it is already short so would mean probably cutting more length and it is uncomfortable to go back so I hope this is just taken as honest feedback to try and take the time to have a quick consult especially if it is a first time customer.
