We have been coming to have Sarah do my mother's hair and mine. (Snowbirds from Wisconsin) We loved her! Today we came for Mom's appointment and we're told "Sarah is no longer with us and we don't have Joyce on the books." New manager did try to accomodate us. However, we would really love to find out where Sarah went to. We miss you Sarah! She was an asset to this salon.

After having to move my mom into a care facility, we were fortunate enough to have found Mary, at this location. I've taken mom in twice to see Mary. Mary has shown my mom so much kindness and respect. She is 86 years old and with Alzheimer. Mary is so professional and truly loves what she does. I just truly appreciate Mary to no end and moms hair looks so darn perfect! Please never leave!

Cassandra, who is no longer there, after 8 hours orf coloring destroyed my hair. Went in for a tiger eye ombre and came out with purple, barely hanging on hair. Part of the front actually tore off while I was brushing it. Went back to see Danielle, the manager at the time who is also not there anymore, and she did her best to fix it. Not what I wanted at all but something I could live with. Danielle was very very knowledgeable, accommodating and did her best. Danielle had said that the next cut and a couple of toners would be on the store until I could color again, since it was so fragile.I even referred my friend to her. I went to get a toner a couple of weeks later and she was gone and I had to pay for it. They wouldn't honor danielle's promise. Only a couple of the people that have been there still are. There is completely new management and a lot of new rules and higher prices. I just called to make an appointment for my girls to get their hair cut after school and they said I can only call ahead a half hour. With Danielle there I would have given them a 4, the girl that did my toner did great and squeezed me in for a special occasion. The new rules and management takes it to a zero but that's not an option so they get a 1.

I have used this smartstyle as well as the one in the Greenfield Walmart for about a year , since the Cost Cutters I used was closed and the stylists I saw were transferred. On a recent visit, for a color on 4/2 I went in and every stylist (I had used 3 at this location) was no longer with them. I have chin length hair and have paid $45 or $55 for color depending on the method. Suddenly the price rose to $75, although the price board hadn't changed to that. It was more for a "comb through" to bring the color to the ends so it matched, which is ridiculous. I have always added a simple style to my services for an additional $5, or $15 if that was all I was doing. But was now informed that would add $25 to the bill. The new manager did give me the option of not having the services when I balked, but I had company arriving and that didn't work for me. So I opted to not have a style, but was very disturbed by the high pricing. After 2 hours (mostly sitting with color, which is to be expected) I left with a $75 plus tip ($90) tab and unstyled, wet hair. I am highly disappointed at the greedy pricing this salon has now adopted. The services are not worth that, no upgrades in their uncomfortable chairs, sinks etc. have been made. The reason I went to cost cutters and smart style was for better pricing, and I feel totally ripped off by this visit. I will NOT be returning.
