First off, let me say that my hair ended up OKAY. Now that I've gotten that out of the way.. I would like to introduce myself as a korean male that has medium/short hair. I don't talk much because I am not great in korean, but I can thoroughly communicate with the staff. After I got my pre-rinse, I was told to sit down. Is my explanation vague? Well sorry to say, but this was exactly what they told me. I stood there confused. Eventually my cut started, and ended in no later than 10 minutes. Even my old haircuts (zero sides and spiked top.. i know i know.. SOO 90's korean) took longer than this. My stylist didn't seem to give a crap. Just for reference, let me tell you that my salon vists, on average, takes about 45 minutes overall (including washing twice, paying, and some waiting). As my hair was being cut, out of nowhere and without warning, my stylist walks away. An assistant directs me to the rinsing station. I assumed this was some strange and new process so I played along. After the wash, I sat back down and the assistant asked if I wanted product in my hair. I told them that I didn't even know what the back or sides of my hair looked like. My stylist DID NOT ask me if what she did was okay, or if I liked it, or whether or not I would like something fixed. To solve this problem, they placed what I assumed to be a mirror on a table, faced down. That is literally all they did for me. At this point, I started to become annoyed of their customer service. I eventually saw that the back of my hair was BARELY cut. It was seriously a lot longer than any other part of my hair. I asked her to fix it, and she says (in korean), "You don't want to grow the back?" I thought to myself, well I would grow the back.... IF THAT WASN'T THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD BE GROWING ON MY HEAD. So I asked her politely to trim it down. My stylist (seemingly annoyed of me for some reason..) grabbed the zero clip and proceeded to hack away. After she finishes, she RELUCTANTLY asks if it's okay, I answer that I like it alot better now, and she once again walks away. The assistant brushes me off and asked if I want product. At this point, I just want to LEAVE. So I say no thank you and they direct me to the cashier. After I pay and tip my stylist (yes, I tip even if the service was crappy... don't ask me why.) Everyone gathers just enough energy to say "Goodbye and thank you" (in korean). I am partially satisfied with my cut, although alot shorter than I had hoped for, but I can work with it using wax. But the customer service will ensure that I will never return and I will make sure to let my friends, and friends friends, and friends friends friends friends know that this place is trash. The entire time the salon had no energy, nobody put in ANY sort of "extra" effort (much of this "extra" I speak of is essentially "normal" salon behavior... SUCH AS SMILING, OR SAYING HELLO, OR ASKING IF MY HAIRCUT IS OKAY), and I felt unwanted the entire time. Like my business was a nuisance. I drove back home as fast as I could so that I could post this. Overall a horrible experience.... do yourself a favor and don't come here.
