You couldn't ask for a better experience. Susan is a terrific stylist. I always get compliments from my husband every time that I get a cut or color. You get a tranquil experience coupled with a hand massage and even a jewelry cleaning, who could ask for more.

I only go to Aveda Product Salons or stores where you can receive points towards a number of great gifts. I have been saving for a 1 week Caribbean or Canada Ski Resort trip for a long time. I have 35,000 points towards my 50,000 points that are needed. It isn't just the points that are a plus, I have tried many hair products over the years and the Aveda shampoos and conditioners seem to work best for wavy, frizzy hair. Salonamour in Walnut Creek, CA is conveniently located and easy to get to from where I live. There is always parking if not in the front then in the back.

The reason I give this salon 2 stars is because of the manager being understanding and issued a refund. My experience is with Oksana. The first time I went in the salon she colored my hair and did a good job. The second time I was scheduled for a haircut. I wanted my hair chin long and have been waiting for it to grow even for more than a year. Ms. Oksana, without consulting with me, cut my hair on layrs which made my head look like a bucket and ruined my beautiful wavy hair. I tried to like my hair, took some time to get used to it -- did not work. I had to call the salon and ask for a refund. They refunded my money, but the feeling that I experience every time when I look at myself in the mirror cannot be reversed. True, the hair grows, but it will take a year of my life to go there where Oksana ruined my beautiful hear.... I cannot understand why some stylists do not simply follow their clientsâ€™ wishes instead of imposing (without being asked for it) their own understanding of what is good for the client. If any of this salon reads this review -- please instruct your stylists to ask the clients what they want before start cutting. If a client of this salon reads this review-- please make sure that the hair stylist is not arrogant and listens to you. They charge a lot of money, they owe you a satisfactory haircut.
