Stay away from Joseph. I made an appointment with another hairdresser but she called in sick so Joseph took my appointment. I made a big mistake by not rescheduling. My "new" highlights look like they have grown out for 4 months since he did the highlights up to two inches from the hairline. One side is a different shade of red since he didnt give it enough time or heat. Almost all the red has washed out from the bottom half and now it looks like hell.

Got my granddaughter hair done yesterday and for the 1st time she didn't cry! My hair stylist has been doing my hair for 19 yrs, I took my daughter to her when she was 5 and now she is 20 and I started taking 2 of my granddaughter's about a yr ago.

First of all, I want to thank you for ruining my girlfriend Christmas and my Christmas present to her specially to Joseph who provided his services to my girlfriend. All I wanted was to see her happy and even more beautiful after doing her hair. What did I get? A crying girlfriend with a ruined hair. He had bleached her whole hair. Years and years of hair practically ruined. I understood that she gave him instructions on what did she want to what he seemed to know how to do it. But clearly, he was lying. After seeing the pictures she showed him and the result. The only thing in my mind was that it was horrible and not even close to the way she wanted it. After that and couple messages he still has the guts to practically say: I will not give you your money back after ruining your hair, the best I can do is to give you credit for another cut and color. I know I can fix it and I know how to do a "balayage (name of the style or service she wanted)". So why didn't he show that mastery and capacity to do it the first time??? does it take to ruin someone's hair to actually show the skills you presume to have? Who would even come back and give him a 2nd shot after getting the kind of job he provided. Trust all those years of care in your hair to someone who actually did ruined it already. I think no one in their sane mind would. Thank YOU a lot... And have happy holidays to the whole staff :) Now we had to come up with even more money to get it fix.

I went to Visage to see Joseph on the recommendation of a family member who has been seeing him regularly for blonde dye for awhile. I scheduled an appointment to get my golden blonde balayage touched up. I originally got my balayage at another salon and I loved it but it was too far away for me to go back. Joseph had foil and it made me nervous. He asked me if the last girl used foil and I tell him she did not use foil because she was creating the blended effect. He said, "NAH!! WHAT?? No foil??" We discuss the difference between balayage and ombre and since he's the professional, he should know what he's doing. I get home later and inspect the back of my hair. My hair looks AWFUL. Like I dyed all of it one shade below platinum but my roots have grown out. (see photos) I text him the next morning and tell him it's wrong. He says he can tone it and blend it with high/low lights. I decline because I will find another salon that specializes in balayage. He tells me to Google images of balayage and look at the curly/wavy hair. He says, "I can do the balayage painting technique on your hair and retone it to the appropriate color to break up the blondes, so let me know...." WHY didn't he do that to begin with? He tells me he cannot refund me because it is a service not a product and "next time we will be clearer in the consultation with pictures." My hair was ALREADY balayaged the way I wanted. He had what I wanted right in front of him. He offered a cut and color credit if I should wish to go back, but now I have to spend even more money ($300-500) on a complete color correction. PLEASE do not see Joseph for a balayage. You will end up paying for a service you did not get.
