I got a haircut from a lady named Andrea. She was amazing! I had long hairs and wanted to make them really short (from a traditional style to a really weird look) and she did it with so much grace! I could see how passionate she was with what she was doing.. And the best part was she was discovering herself all through out. This has been an awesome experience. Also, this is my 2nd haircut with Fantastic Sam, La Jolla. I was equally satisfied the 1st time I went there. This place is cheap and provides quality service. I would definitely recommend.

LAN, the Asian woman, is fantastic. Best haircut ever. I've paid 3x more for worse haircuts. She definitely knows her way around hair!

IF YOU WON'T READ IT ALL: Went in to take 4 inches off curly lower back length hair and walked out with about shoulder length hair. Didn't part my hair until she trimmed my bangs. Watch out for the older Asian woman if you have long hair. Extended Explanation: To ladies with long hair, be wary of the older Asian woman. I have had hair down to my butt since I was a little kid, with the exception of a few haircuts to my rib level. I needed about 3.5" off the ends and asked her to add in some long layers. I walked out with hair to about the middle of my arm. Now, I have curly hair so it's even shorter after I let it dry, a few inches past my shoulders. She didn't part my hair until she got to my bangs, which makes it difficult to give a symmetrical cut. My hair does feel extremely healthy, but I don't know what to do with this new short/bob-like hair I have. It'll take me months to grow this out enough to do something with it.
