I am THRILLED with my new cut and color, and the excellent, attentive service Shirley provided at Elevations Salon & Spa in Monument. I drive by this salon in Monument on my way to North Colorado Springs, and after meeting with the owner, Shirley, I decided to give it a try. Shirley took time at the beginning of my appointment to go over the style and color I wanted, and after reviewing an “inspiration” photo and going through the texture and thickness of my hair, we went through the color options. Shirley is highly skilled and very talented, and her artistry and attention to detail resulted in my new layered-bob, which is exactly what I wanted! The color is perfect, and she even applied a “shimmer” that brings out highlights. This California girl highly recommends Elevation Salon & Spa in Monument, Colorado. Thank you, Shirley!

Went in for a trim and wanted it cut just dry. Stylist Gretchen must have asked me 3 times if I had curly hair. I kept telling her no, it was more like wavy. Then she asked if my hair grew out instead of down. It was as if she has never cut a person of color’s hair before (I’m Hispanic). Found the questions really annoying and somewhat racist. Won’t be going back.

Shirley, the owner, had just finished with a client and had a cancellation, so was able to take me right away. I have fine, but very thick hair currently in a shorter cut, which I have cut on my own after several bad haircuts elsewhere. Shirley knew just what my hair needed for the modern, choppy shag style I wanted and she was not afraid to really cut into it. Her handwork is phenomenal with scizzors, razor and texturizing sheers, which she used all of in my cut. She also used wonderful products on my hair, styling it beautifully. She gave me tips on styling it myself as well. She offered a free follow up, should I find I want it shorter after I “play with it” myself; she also offers free bangs trims between cuts. So talented and so invested in her clients satisfaction. How refreshing to have such “big city” talent in our small town. THANK YOU, SHIRLEY, I’LL BE BACK!

I always recommend this place to people. They knew exactly what to do with my curly wavy hair. And after a rough week at work I went in and left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready for the weekend. I love this place.

Went in for a cut and color today and Chrissy did a fabulous job. She also does nails and lashes, she also did my sister's nails and they turned out great. While I was there, Shirley did makeup for another patron and it was very stylish. Nice salon, bright and well lit, with a nice little waiting area and comfortable styling chairs.
