The female manager here is extremely racist and unprofessional. The subject of politics came up in conversation without prompt, and she made extremely blunt comments about Muslims, out loud, to me. The statement I remember her saying is that Muslims are sketchy because they wear head coverings and "we don't know what they're hiding up there." She also commented on approving of Donald Trump banning them. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. She just laughed about what and acted uncannily casual, like it was some kind of joke... Not only is racism morally wrong and disgusting, there is also NO place for your personal opinions in a business context, especially if one openly discriminates against a group of individuals. Sure, my hair turned out decent, but because of the comments she made I will NEVER return to this establishment. I wish I had concrete proof of her saying those things because I would definitely pursue legal action. Edit: I posted my review on their Facebook page, expressing my concerns for them having a racist manager. They reacted to my post with the laughing face. Apparently, Austin Hair thinks racism is a joke. Their unprofessionalism and immaturity only further prove my point that this establishment should not have your business.

I didn't even get an appointment for cut and style. I called on a Friday, about 1:30 PM to schedule for following week with any stylist. No one could take me. Person who answered phone was rude. They lost a potential customer.

HORRIBLE haircut and HORRIBLE customer service. Also, the manager lady was unprofessional and rude. She was making derogatory/racist comments about Muslims, African Americans, Indians, and Latinos. Made the situation extremely uncomfortable and I didn't think it was appropriate to talk poorly about racial/religious stereotypes with your customers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
