Anxiety-ridden Salon Experience

ghter received services for her “wedding hair” for $2100 at The Yacht Club salon by Kathryn, stylist. My daughter’s own hair & extensions are unevenly cut, both cut shorter than my daughter asked for, & are multiple colors after the stylist tried to color the extensions with what looks like bleach spots, definitely not the platinum blonde with dark roots she requested. The owner refuses to refund my daughter anything, backs up the stylist’s version, & insists that my daughter come in to have her hair looked at & to have it fixed. My daughter is beyond upset & she doesn’t trust the salon now! What happened to “the customer is always right”? Has anyone else had this experience there?

This salon is amazing! I had never had a professional haircut ever, and Talia did an excellent job talking me through everything before the big chop to make sure I would be happy with my results once we were done. My hair turned out better than I ever could’ve imagined. She was personable and calmed my nerves about cutting my hair for the very first time. Price is worth it for the above-and-beyond service, even got a call a few days later from the owner to see how my experience was, which was a nice personal touch. Will definitely be back!

Last year I went to the yacht club and Talia did the best job ever! She did exactly what I asked her for. Yesterday I visited salon but this time I chose Erin to cut my hair. On the yacht club website she is level 3 so one more than Talia but she did really bad job. I came today to fix it and unfortunately, Erin still didn’t get me what I wanted. She fixed the bangs( she cut them uneven the day before but she still didn’t fixed the layers, they looked really chopped to me). Fortunately for me, Talia was around and she fixed it perfectly. So for me, if you want to have really nice haircut go to Talia! She is the best! I’ll never go to Erin again. The first pic is from yesterday( Erin’s cut) and second one is from today, when Talia fixed it.

I got my hair colored professionally for the first time yesterday. I absolutely love the way it turned out, but it was SUPER overpriced! I got a baby highlights done. I was there for six hours which was way too long. After I was done they said that I was going to be charged for a product fee, which they didn’t tell me until the end? My total before tip was $750 and of course I tipped my girl 20% since she did a great job so $900 total. I would never pay this amount for my hair again, at max $400. Would recommend but definitely not for the price :( would definitely put 5 stars if it was cheaper.

Such a wonderful experience! Everyone was so friendly and I already made an appointment to come back in a couple months. Ashlynn cut my hair and really listened to what I wanted and showed me how to style it both with my naturally curly hair and with heat as well. I’m so happy with my hair cut! Thank you so much! I didn’t realize all the different services this salon offers outside of hair cuts/colors. There’s even a nail salon in the back! Will definitely want to check that out.

Oh my goodness,this was amazing! From the moment I stepped in, I was treated with kindness and respect. I've never had a professional hair cut in a salon and now I know what all the excitement is about. Stacy was so gracious and helped me win back my self confidence. She listened to my needs and took time to really give me a look that makes me feel like a super model. She also told me about a product that is already helping the health of my scalp and hair. After she carefully massaged my scalp during my wash, I began to quietly cry in gratitude. Having something so compassionate touched my heart. I needed to feel cared for and appreciated, and she offered that. She was so kind. Thank you all for reminding me that moms need TLC too.
