I've been going to Smitten for years now (since before they changed locations, however long ago that was), and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I'm a perfectionist with my hair, and Melanie has always delivered. Not only have my results been fantastic, but the in-salon experience has been great as well. Melanie is very pleasant to talk to, but also understands if you need to zone out or do work on your laptop while she sets your foils. And the women who shampoo your hair are wonderful too; they don't just wash your hair; they give you a scalp massage, and then wrap your hair in a hot towel while the conditioner sets. Smitten also has a beautifully decorated and immaculately clean facility. Because I found the holy grail of stylists and salons, I was a little nervous when Melanie was on maternity leave a couple of years ago, and then recently when she cut back on her hours. I was switched to another stylist, Michael. But let me tell you, Michael is fantastic as well, and I fully trust him with my hair. This speaks to the overall quality of the salon; everyone who works there does superlative work. I highly recommend them.

Iâ€™ve been going to Smitten for almost 6 years based on a friendâ€™s referral. Even when my original stylist left, I was put with another amazing one - Meredith. She helps bring life to my hair with every visit, and offers advice when Iâ€™m looking for inspiration. Love the products too!

Alisha is incredible! You have to schedule well in advance because of how popular she is, but it is worth the wait. She is a red coloring expert, as well as highlighting, balyage, and perfect blow outs. When she was out on maternity leave I worked with Ashley instead and she was great as well for coloring. The shampoo head massages are always a highlight of the experience too. It isn't cheap, but it is definitely worth the cost - high quality hair care.

I have been going to Smitten for at least 6 years, and feel like I have found my haircut home for life. Lisa, who usually cuts my hair, is incredibly skilled. Just 2 days ago someone asked where I get my hair cut, because of the beautiful shape, and it has been 2 months since it was last done! It is always a pleasure to visit Lisa, a consummate professional, manager, and really good person. I've had other Smitten stylists cut my hair when she is not available, and have never been disappointed. All of the staff are excellent and a pleasure to interact with.

This is hands-down the BEST salon in the DMV! I have been coming to Smitten for about 5 years now and can't imagine going anywhere else for my hair. The salon itself is GORGEOUS, the staff is all incredibly welcoming and the love my hair gets here is criminal. I really cannot imagine going anywhere else for my hair. You won't be disappointed!
