I went to this salon for the first time a couple of weeks before my wedding for a cut and balayage. The salon itself was nice and I could tell there were some great stylists and staff working there. I think my stylist's name was Erin, but I'm not positive. I'm not particularly tender headed, but I'm tall and she was petite, so she was pulling my head down the entire time and was rough when brushing my hair. Not only was it painful on my scalp, but it left me with a sore neck for days. At the point of drying my hair, I overheard her tell someone she needed help because she was running very behind on my hair before her next appointment. Again, with the rush, the drying was a bit painful. When I finally got to see my hair, it was MUCH more blonde and streaky than I wanted. I had brought in a photo and my hair looked nothing like it. She then proceeded to cut my hair and never showed me what it looked like in the back or ask me if I wanted her to do anything else. She just took a few photos of my hair and ushered me to the counter and said they'd make me an appointment to fix the color another day. I was there for five hours, only to have to come back again. Anyone who has gotten married before knows that the last thing you need right before you wedding is to waste precious time resolving a hair crisis. I was so upset, I left in tears. I still left a reasonable tip, which I kicked myself for after I left -- especially since that meant I then had to tip a second person when I went back. Again, being right before my wedding, an additional expense I didn't need, but I blame myself for that -- but I am just someone who always tips. On the bright side, Kim was absolutely wonderful and fixed my color the following week. However, the previous mistake did mean extra damage on my hair and my already easily-tangled hair has been completely unmanageable since. I've colored my hair for many years and it has never been nearly this bad. Based on the reviews, I really wanted to love my experience here, but it unfortunately just added a lot of unnecessary stress and time wasted right before my wedding.
