BEAWARE!!!! This place uses relaxer in their shampoo I am highly upset that my hair is not only ruined but after many washes it still has the chemical smell of a relaxer. I’ve been natural for 8 years and only get my hair straightened once a year now I’m forced to cut off my hair and start over. If you are natural and wish to keep your curly pattern please stay AWAY.

I got my hair blow dried and straightened and it stayed straight for 3 weeks before I washed it. Well, my 4a hair now is heat damaged and some parts don’t have a curl at all. I don’t think they care about your curls reverting and don’t make sure they spray heat protectant (or enough) on your hair before blow drying and straightening. That’s my fault though because I should have never gotten the service done if I wanted my curls to revert back. The sad part is you can’t cure heat damage, you have to cut your hair off and start over. I encourage this salon to use heat protection spray for these women who have natural hair! It’s a simple fix and not doing it only damages their hair and causes it to break off!

I went here a month ago and Milly was awesome! I was pleasantly surprised. Went back today and had to leave with my hair soaking wet. The women were condescending, tried to put some random stuff in my hair (I always bring my own products), and said they couldn’t section my hair or seal my ends whilst combing the unattended parts of it (to prevent it from drying and clumping up) because they were Dominican and it’s too much work. The woman had the audacity to speak those words to me lol. I just needed a quick press for a trip, I came home and blow dried it then went to another shop for the press.

I moved from Virginia, and I had one Dominican shop that I always went to. Even though there were 9 people ahead of me at this shop and only four stylist, I spent the same 3-4 hours I would normally spend in my old shop when there were only a couple people waiting. My hair is so silky! I also don’t trust people to cut my hair, but she did a great job trimming it. It’s more expensive here versus my old salon, but ATL is a hair capital so I can’t be picky!

They just sit you under a dryer make you wait until people who take longer to dry get finish. They would go so much faster if they just took people as they dry NEVER GOING BACK!!
