Had a great haircut with Bernie (woman) a few weeks ago. She did a great job, just the way I like it. She listens to what you want, is friendly and fun to be around. Will go to her again for my next cut.

The hairstylist was not professional at all. I went in to get a simple haircut. Just needed my split ends trimmed off. She made it seem like it was the most difficult task ever. First, I asked her for a wash. She spoke to me like I was too poor to afford a wash. Then, she was like in order to cut your hair I will have to straighten it! And that will be extra. I’m aware that washes, and flat iron cost more. That’s not a problem. But I didn’t like, the way she said It. Very Condescending tone. She said if she didn’t straighten it (my hair is long wavy) then my hair would be uneven. I told her I just wanted my hair washed, then trim the split ends off. She told me if she does that I would have uneven hair. I told her my hair already has long layers and I want to keep long layers. She proceeded to act like I was asking her to do something she was not qualified for. I knew at that moment, I did not want her to touch my hair. So I left. I asked her what her name was, but she refused to give me her name. (She is Asian, with very short black hair ) Like, what!? Absolutely shocked at how awful she was.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable hair stylist I would highly recommend Sharmayne. She has many years of experience and she is a talented individual who prides herself in the work she performs. I have been a client of Sharmayne's for over 8 years which I met when she was working for another reputable salon that had downsized their locations. She is that talented that I followed her from the other salons she was employed by and because of the pandemic those salons are no longer in existence. I have done many services with Sharmayne over the years from cut and color, highlighting, balayage, deep conditioning, blowout and styling. She always listens to what I envision my hair to be and makes recommendations based off of my hair type. She will not make a recommendation or perform a service if she feels that is not right for your hair type. At every appointment she always asks what I would like to do to my hair at that visit, she goes over the pricing matrix and informs me how long the appointment will be just in case I may have another appointment to go to. She is very professional and always informs me of hair product promotions that Regis is having, which I really appreciate because salon quality hair products are not inexpensive. A couple of visits I wanted to do waxing which Sharmayne does not do but referred me to the other stylist who is certified in waxing and Maelyn was able to do the waxing during my appointment with Sharmayne so I did not have to come back another day or go to a competitor that does waxing. Sharmayne and Maelyn are veteran stylists who have superb customer service and they always listen to you and advise you based on your individual needs. I've been seeing Sharmayne for about five years or more. My original hairstylist moved and I was on a hunt for a new one. met her at another salon and followed her throughout the years. She is the best and the only one I trust cutting my hair. Every time I ask for a particular cut/style it always comes out 110% better. I will always recommend Sharmayne to my family and friends. Help others with another review

I stared going to Regis hair salon a few years ago when my former hairstylist moved to the mainland. Sharmayne A. was the stylist who helped me. From that first visit she has continued to be my stylist. She is friendly and professional. I used to color my hair, which Sharmayne did a great job doing, but have now let it go to its natural color. Now my whole family goes to Sharmayne for their hair needs!
