Best hair salon in Wichita! Always offered coffee or cold beverage, then get my hair colored in a great artistic atmosphere with hand selected music every time! Been going here for 15 years!

What do I love about Planet Hair? It begins with the team environment creating a true family culture. Tod, Linda and Graham are wonderful people who genuinely care about their stylists and those they serve. I have been enjoying Planet Hair' services for 7 years now so almost everyone has cut & styled my hair and it has always been a great experience. Highly recommended! 👍

I have hair down to my waste that I have been cutting & coloring my self for years because I don't trust anyone . I'm a natural sandy blond color that I dye black & it is extremely healthy. I had been pretty down due to the loss of a beloved pet & being let go from my job right before Christmas & needed a change to give myself a self-esteem boost & get ready for the new job I found. I didn't trust myself to achieve the new trendy look I was wanting so went to the old Google to find a good salon & stylist. Planet Hair was the first salon that popped up & I had been there years ago & had a good experience so I began to read through all their reviews. Suzie stuck out to me because several women said she specializes in long hair & trendy colors but also has the health of her clients hair in mind. I was still nervous but scheduled a consultation to visit with her before I committed to the actual color & cut. She made me very comfortable even steering me away from the color I originally was curious about that was a bayalage driven omnre silver (which I more less hoped she would say because it would be very damaging to my hair to get light enough for the silver to look right.. I was testing her lol) & suggested a nice chocolate brown bayalage. I scheduled my appt. for the day after Christmas which was nice because it was a present from my fiance. Suzie took time to talk with me even more before she started about how light we could go & the realistic color she thought we could get to. (again I didn't want to damage my hair!!) She applied the bleach & checked it several times to make sure my hair was doing ok which put me at ease then washed & toned it with the brown. She did some of the trimming while my hair was wet then the poor girl spent a long time blow drying my hair to finish cutting. All in all for someone so reluctant to trust with their hair & be very picky I give her a 10 out of 10 for working with me to achieve the best & healthy way to get the boost I was looking for. Although I came in looking for a more drastic change she gave me a subtle and beautiful new look that is a good starting point for us to go lighter in the future. She said eventually we can get to the lighter colors if we take baby steps so my hair can hand the change without major damage which I'm perfectly fine with!!! I will definitely be back for Suzie to continue to gently lighten & trim my hair so I don't have to do it myself anymore!! Thank you soooo much Suzie.. I will spread the word!!

My apprentice stylist worked with me to decide in a flattering and easy to care for haircut. She styled it beautifully. She was sweet but still very focused. My haircut was easy to style the next day. I am so pleased! I chose an apprentice stylist to make the haircut more affordable, it was as good as the regular stylists- so shhhh! Don't let the secret out- let's keep these great haircuts cheap!
