This is the second time I’ve had this experience, so I figured I would write a review explaining why I will not be returning. I am in a profession where I need straight hair, so on occasion I will opt for a sew in. Because I am natural, I do not like my hair braided tightly because it can damage your hair. This is a concept they don’t understand. I asked three times to ask my to have my hair braided tightly, and my stylist even wrote it on my card. However my braids were still entirely too tight. She explained to me that she was going to put a net on, and the net would make it even tighter. When I asked if it was necessary, she said yes.
After putting in a third of my hair, she made me switch to a different stylist, which I found to be unprofessional. When I got to the new stylist, she asked my what was wrong and I told her that my braids were too tight. So she cut off part of the net, and she asked my why i didn’t speak up. I told her that I had asked not to have my hair braided so tightly, and my original stylist overheard and replied in the most aggressive tone that, “ I told you that it would get tighter when the net was on.” So there went her tip. If you are someone who cares about the health of your hair, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. It has been a week since I have gotten my braids in and I still have a headache and am developing braid bumps which are associated with hair loss. So I’m getting this out tomorrow. $160 down the tube because they do not allow refunds if you are dissatisfied.
I’m giving it 2 stars because the new stylist was very kind and accommodating.
