I came based on proximity, lack of bad reviews, and because a friend goes here to get her hair cut. Honestly, I wish I hadn't gone. The environment is small, messy, and outdated and it reeked of residual cigarette smoke. When I was brought back for my hair wash, I was never asked what I wanted (no consult before the process began). I showed a picture where the girl had angles and angles only. I got angles AND layers making the reason for getting a haircut (for it to be more manageable) completely pointless. The hairdressers were too busy talking with one another and with their regular customers . Nobody initiated a friendly conversation with me. The place doesn't even take credit. Had to go to an ATM and pay a $4 fee to withdraw money. It cost $15 more than it would have had I gone to HairCuttery (this includes tip). I don't especially like HairCuttery but I would have rather gone there. It seems as if they have their regulars and are content with that. So, if you haven't been going there for a while, I wouldn't start going. The haircut, for what it is, is decent and nobody was rude - hence two stars instead of one.
