I've been going to this SmartStyle for quite sometime now and every time I leave whether I get a service done or not I am always satisfied. All the ladies put in time and effort making sure every customer is satisfied! I've went through a lot of different changes with my hair and it always comes out beautiful and healthy (just the way I like it). I gave this salon a five star, each talented individual that works here deserves five stars. I'm always keeping up with the latest trends and when I get compliments on my hair styles, cuts and color, I ALWAYS make sure to tell people where I get it done at so I recommend this salon to ANYONE that needs a good make over! So if anyone is looking to go to Walmarts hair salon SmartStyle in walmart on Manawa Dr in Council bluffs iowa, DO NOT GO, I REPEAT DO NOT GO!!! I went there months ago more then 5 months ago to just get my hair thinned out and layered and my hair length I wanted to stay the same but I ended up walking out with multiple different lengths in my hair and lost my length overall in my hair I had multiple uneven NOTICEABLE layers and my left side was 3 inches shorter then my right side, when they used the hair thinning scissors my right side was so thin that it was baby hair thin and chopped where they put the hair thinning scissors at. They cut around my shoulders so the middle was cut to shoulder length and the rest was long... and just to remind you my hair is SUPER THICK AND CURLY (takes me at least 45mins or more just to blow dry and 3hrs to just straighten it) but when I left the haircut I had looked like I never had any signs of having thick hair ever in my life!!! And I still had to pay for it!!!! Til this day I still can't leave it down or straighten it ot leave it naturally curly nor can I used hair curlers anymore because the bad haircut is so noticable!!! I never got the hairdressers name because she was not wearing a name plate but she was the only heavier set African American woman and her hair was braided at the time. (And she won't let you see your haircut or even mess with it to see the layers or what she did) and also rude and impatient and acted like she didn't want to be there. And I go there every other weekend and I will see her in there once in a while and she is always rude acting to the customers and never a smile on her face. If I were you I would pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Trust me on this.
