Agree with previous reviewer, the owner is cold and very unprofessional. She acts like you are more of an annoyance then a paying customer. The cost for a color and cut had jumped up in price, not worthy of such a very basic environment. I expect a lot more of class at these prices, however, the operator who did my hair was great. A friendly and smiley face would go a long, long way. Can see why i was the only customer.

My son visited this shop on 04/09/2014. He had to have his hair dyed blonde. He has short hair that is dark brown and coarse. The cost was $116 However, the hairdresser was sweet so I visited today. I came in for a cut, a color and some pink and purple streaks for the upcoming Reno Run or Dye race. I was quoted $5 per foil (streak). When I went to pay, the owner said that I owe $200. She said that each streak (foil) costs $10. That is a ripoff. I paid $100 for 10 tiny streaks. I have medium hair length. When I told her I was quoted $5 for each streak, she told me that I already got a discount because I was there for 5 hours. I have had a lot more done to my hair in less time and paid a lot less and to be honest, I was there for 5 hours but not all of that time was spent on my hair.However, the hairdresser was professional and did an excellent job. The owner was unprofessional always asking how much longer it was going to take. It was almost as if she wanted to take it out on me that she thought the hairdresser took too long. She made me feel uncomfortable for my first time here. She also would make comments to the poor hairdresser like, "What are you doing?' and even put a note on her mirror for customers to see that said, dust your station. The station was tidy. Horrible place. I was charged $80 for a basic color (no bleach), $20 for the cut and $100 for 10 little streaks at $10 each. RIPOFF!

My stylish Candy is great! I have worked with her for a year and half and always get a great cut, I have even gone back a week later to fix something that I asked for and she didnt charge me. The salon is a little plain but Candy has lots of personality and always asks about my family and chats me up during my cut. I highly recommend her!

I have been going to Hair It Is for almost a year now and seeing Candy Campbell. I have very fragile hair and she has given me so many tips and pointers on keeping my hair healthy and helping it grow and my hair has never looked this good! She does a great job cutting hair and also coloring. I think the most important factor in being a good hairstylist is honesty. Candy is not afraid to tell you if she thinks something is not going to look good on you. If she doesnt think its a good idea, she wont do it, and I love that about Candy! Keep up the good work and see ya soon:]
