I have been coming here for a while but a out a month ago one of the employees call me the B word in her native tongue , when the owner wasn't there, I came back and it feel like the keep making me go to her, today I told the owner that I do not want her touching my hair after what she said, and all the other hair stylist keep getting everyone that was there before me and refuse to take me, I had to let her know that I need to leave and to get someone to do my hair now, because I was there before some people And she hurried and find me someone to do my hair, this is my Las time coming here, and I will let her know on my way out. I did really like coming here, but I don't have to deal with this when I'm paying my money.

Understand that for years I have searched far and wide from Irvington, to Newark, and even Elizabeth for a good salon. This salon is by far one of the best I’ve been to. I don’t go on the typical busy times (weekend mornings). My work schedule is a little different so thankfully I can walk in on a Tuesday afternoon and be one of the only people there before the after school heard rushes in. They’re very polite and nice and are quick with working on your hair. The prices are fair and they don’t play around. Some salons I’ve gone to charge you differently each visit for the same services done. For example, one week I’m being told I have to pay $15 and the next I’m told $18. I don’t argue because it’s not much of a difference to me but be consistent with your prices. It’s closer to home as well so that’s always a plus. Parking isn’t really bad because if you’re like me and go on a random weekday in the afternoon, there will be street parking available. If you go when it’s packed, I recommend parking your car at the Popeye’s at the corner and walking a block down. I’ve done it countless times and have never had any issues when walking back to my car. With that being said, this really is good spot to visit should you be in the market for a fresh new salon to try out.

Good Dominican hair salon. The ladies are friendly, the owner is friendly. They don’t talk you to death but just enough. They greet you and are polite. The prices are decent. The place only accepts cash so that’s the only annoying thing if your not one that carries around cash often. They are efficient and you’re not in there long (I go on weekdays though bc it is busy on weekends). For parking it’s street parking which isn’t hard to find but again, I go on weekdays. Idk if parking is difficult on weekends. Overall, good spot.
