Got my hair done by Lasha for a wedding. My hair is cut in a short bob with medium length bangs. I asked for something where the top was bumped up and edgy looking. I definitely got what I asked for. She did a great job of first blowing my hair, then setting it in curlers, and then teasing it up and pinning it back. My only issues where that I felt a bit rushed toward the end (she had another client waiting, so maybe it was my issue?) and, this is the bigger issue, the price I was charged was $100.00. I've had much more complicated, time consuming up-dos for less money and that was when my hair was way longer (I just recently cut it short). I paid it since it was in the range of reasonable and I had not asked in advance what the price would be. So would I go to her again? Absolutely! She was great. I would just confirm the price in advance.
I also had my makeup done but I can't recall the woman's name. She was nice and did a good job. The makeup did not last as long as it has when I've had it done by other makeup artists but it lasted a long time. The problem here came when the very nice receptionist tried to charge me $85.00 for a service that was quoted on the phone for around $50.00. When I brought it to her attention it was immediately changed but having worked in the salon industry it reeked of them trying to take advantage of someone who they thought was either stupid and/or rich. The receptionist had not even asked me what level of make I had done (eye lashes, extras...). She just charged it up and hoped I would pay. For how long the makeup lasted I didn't think it was even worth $50.00.
I will definitely go there again and would recommend this place to others but hope that potential clients do their homework so they know what to expect.
