I was in yesterday for a 6 p.m. appointment with my usual stylist, Audi, who is a "Master Designer". When I arrived, she told me she wasn't feeling well and would I mind if another stylist cut my hair. I asked her if she was as experienced as her, the same level, and I did not get an answer (that should have been a clue), but Audi insisted it would work out fine. Note, I should have been told this BEFORE I came and given the choice to come in another day. I felt bad for Audi, though, so didn't complain and agreed.
Melanie, who cut my hair, was not as experienced as Audi - it was obvious and I wasn't happy about it. I thought to myself, well, at I would get a less expensive haircut, right (this salon has different prices depending on the stylist's level)? Well, when I went to pay, I saw as the girl was ringing me up, she asked Linda Summerville about the cost, and I heard her say "yes, Audi". The girl then told me that my cost was $180. $180??? The same price as Audi, who canceled on me last minute! So not only did they screw me with my appointment, but now I am getting ripped off and charged for a haircut at the same price as what I would have paid my stylist who canceled on me!! HUH? If anything I should have been given a discount - NOT a good way to treat your loyal long-term customer!!! Not only this, but when I said that I don't believe Melanie is a Master Designer like Audi is, Linda tells me, no, she is the same level as Audi. I looked in disbelief, paid and left.
Well, interesting - I now look online and see that Melanie is in fact an Artistic Designer, so on top of everything else, Linda blatantly lied and overcharged me! Unbelievable!
