Amazing service! We were greeted at the door with offers of fresh lemon water, tea or coffee, then seated in a comfortable waiting area with free wifi. I was there for my first Deva Cut and Mary Claire was amazing! She did such a great job and my curls are the healthiest they have ever been! I swear, they never looked so great! She knew exactly what to do and had great advice for maintenance and style. Will definitely be coming back.

Consistent excellence describes my experience at Folicle Salon and Spa over the past 4 years. Appointments begin on time and are the exact length of time needed to accomplish the hair cut. I highly recommend this Salon to anyone in the market for treating their hair well, as I cannot speak to the other services offered having not (yet) tried them.

I went here for a cut and color. I have curly hair and requested someone who was familiar with dry cuts and working with curly hair. Tammy, my stylist, while very nice... didnt really know what she was doing. For the color, I requested two shades of red... absolutely no blond. I got a very light red and blond. She mixed the colors without letting me see what she was choosing and when I asked if I could see them, she told me she was just doing it herself. I will say that the color work itself is quite good and well blended to the hi-lites already in my hair. For the cut, she did a combo of wet and dry, mostly dry. The cut seems to be alright. As far as the styling of my hair... well, when I left the salon, my hair was practically straight. It looked horrible. She kept assuring me she knew how to style curly hair... but clearly she didn't. And I think she realized this and felt bad about it... she kept saying look at these curls and in the next breath, she said I didn't really have curly hair, just wavy. When I made my appointment at the salon, I was told to style my hair as normal that day for the dry cut - I assumed they would cut it first by looking at my normal curl pattern... which is quite curly from root to tip. Instead, she colored and washed my hair first and by the time she finished the first 2 or three inches of root and the bottom two inches of hair were straight. My hair looked like I had been to the pool and let it air dry in the summer... straight and full of frizz. While I do prescribe to very specific methods of products for my hair, I gave her permission to use whatever she wanted that day, so I could get a good look at what she had done. I should have commented and asked for a discount because of the style and incorrect color at the very least but instead said nothing. I'm sorry for that now and would not recommend this salon. UPDATE 2/23/18 - Surprisingly, the salon read my review and reached out to me. Unfortunately, we were unable to agree on the best way to proceed... Their policy is to fix whatever a customer doesn't like... But given the fact that my hair was chemically treated a few weeks ago, I didn't want to chemically treat my hair again so quickly. The owner, Edward, did offer to recut my hair... But again, I just had the mixed cut from the other stylist and cutting my hair again would result in a shorter length which is something I do not want. I do appreciate the fact that they reached out to me... But overall not impressed.

This was my first visit to Folicle, and I was truly impressed! Mary Claire took great care of me, and gave me the exact cut I was looking for. I've had trouble finding a great salon in the past, but that search is over, I will definitely come back!
