I found them on Google and made an appointment. I had already had a bad taste in my mouth about Black salons but I decided to try again. Bad decision. AJ did my hair. She was extremely nice and I'd love to have her as a regular hairdresser but she ruined my entire experience by her lack of professionalism and regard for my time. I had a 3pm appt. I get there and she had just washed some walk-in's hair. AJ got started on my hair about 20 mins late. And she was working on another girl's head too. The triple booking already was a bad look. After AJ washed and conditioned my hair, she left me sitting with wet hair for 47 f**king mins because she was doing two other ppl's hair and I'M the one with the 3 o'clock appt! I was so pissed about her taking a walk-in when she had an appt scheduled with me. Then AJ kept telling me all that lady's business using it as an excuse to why she put her ahead of me. I don't care what kinda surgery that lady had, that has nothing to do with me. I was there to get my hair done. AJ finally started rolling my hair then stopped halfway thru so she could finish the cancer client's hair. I'm sorry about the lady's cancer but AJ should have been fair and told the lady to come back another time because she already had a 3pm appt scheduled. I'd think that with me being a new client, AJ would wanna make a good impression. Like I said, nice woman and cool to talk to, but she is precisely one of the reasons I turned away from Black salons. I hate the double or triple booking, the gossip, the disregard for clients' time, not starting on time. Corey the owner was funny and pleasant. But I won't be returning.
