I was surprised to find that Valerie does not have any customer reviews on here, but it would be a pleasure and an honor to give her the first review and let you know how much you would benefit from going to her. I was having a hair emergency (related to my dark grow outs and bleached out/fried looking hair) and she was the first hair stylist that would take me as a walk in. She asked me to come in thirty minutes after I called her. It was on Halloween and I called over ten salons. No one wanted to take me. She was more than happy to take me. Thank God everyone else turned me down. Do you know when you are trying to explain how you want your hair to look but the hairstylist doesn’t seem to get it? You won’t experience that with Valerie. When I got there, she sat me in front of the mirror and intently listened to to what I wanted, examined the pictures of hair ideas, and paid attention to every detail (clarifying EXACTLY what I wanted before getting started). Not only did she actually listen to what I was asking for, but she came up with more ideas to make my hair look even better and I swear she could read my mind because she made my hair exactly how I pictured it in my head. She even helped me figure out why my hair was getting so frizzy and tangly and gave great teaching on how to prevent/resolve my hair issues. She got my hair back to feeling and looking healthy by trimming my tangled/split ends and sending me home with the hair products personalized to my hair issues (it also looks healthy because of the color corrections she made on my hair). I have never been more happy with a hairstyle in all my life. I couldn’t quite figure out what was unique about her, but Valerie is different than all of the other hairstylists I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot) because she takes pride in her work and truly loves her job (she also has a skill where she organically comes up with creative ideas to make hair look even better). She gave me my confidence back and I haven’t been this happy (inside and out) in a long time. Thank you, Valerie!!!
