The worst experience of my life

I am disgusted by this hair salon. I went there last Sunday for a hair cut and a had a picture to show what I was looking for. I clearly told her, Amira, that I cannot have a hair too short because I have some spots with thin hair. Seems like she did on purpose to cut my hair so short that seems like I went to a barber shop.My hair was shoulder length and I asked for it short on the back to the length of my shin. On one side my scalp is about 2in exposed. I was ashamed to go to work Monday. The anti-professionalism doesn't stop there. When she came to cut my hair, she started dishing the client who just left because the 3y old boy did not behaved during his hair cut. She criticized the way the mom was raising the kid, and that she was using an excuse because the boy had ADD. I was very uncomfortable with her comments. Very nice hair stylist and very nice hair cut. I have long thick hair and asked for quite a bit to be cut and layered. I had a picture to show and it was exact to the picture except for one detail, that i wanted my bangs not cut, but I feel I shouldâ€™ve been more specific. Otherwise a very beautiful cut and style!

I found this salon when looking for a place to have my 3 year old daughter's very long hair cut for only the second time ever. I chose this place because of all the great reviews...and after learning the previous salons I had taken her to were closed down. Her hair was halfway down her back and was becoming difficult to manage and easily knotted. I went in and specifically asked for a cut that would be easy to maintain and keep her hair out of her face...wash and go was my goal. I pointed to a picture of a woman with bangs and asked her (Amira was the stylist) to cut straight bangs for my daughter (she had no defined bang before this cut), and cut it to shoulder length. She said no, no that's too short for her (about bangs). I conceded to a long bang...not realizing what that would mean for my child. By the time she was done my daughter came out with a shoulder length super layered shag looking hairstyle. Her "long bangs" are too short to go behind her ears... So she is constantly pushing her hair out of her face...which is the exact problem I wanted remedied in the first place. Not only is the cut not what I specifically asked for but when we were done Amira all but forced my child to let her take a picture of her hair...even after I asked my daughter if she wanted a picture and my daughter said no. Amira bribed her with a sucker and she allowed the photos (at least 4 in all). But then Amira was about to take one of my daughter's face...I stopped her and asked what she was going to do with the photos. She said put on facebook/google...etc. I said ok let me see what you took...I don't want her face. I approved the few she had with no face. Then the kicker was I go to pay and she says $14. I say but you quoted me $12 on the phone...I look for a posted price list and find none. She says oh all the layers cost extra. I was like I didn't ask for all the layers. She conceded and said she'd give me 2 dollars back, bc she had already put it in the system. I told her keep her 2 dollars and quickly left with my daughter. I am still upset by the whole experience and now I am going to have to go somewhere else and get my daughter's fixed. Never again will I go here. Don't believe all the glowing reviews...Amira was nice enough but she didn't listen to what I wanted and she tried to make me pay extra for services I didn't ask for. That's not good business.

Best hair salon Iâ€™ve ever been to! Amira the owner is not only an amazing stylist but she is an AMAZING person too. She listens to exactly what you want and wonâ€™t stop until you are 100% satisfied. So glad I found her! This will definitely be my hair place from now on. Thank you so much Amira!
