I went to Marquisia Norton, she is the manager of the connected HAIR 2 U shop (its next door). Marquisia Norton contacted me not too long ago insisting she was the one for me to come to (I was already scheduled with someone to get my hair)..Marquisia Norton said she was all about customer service, making sure we are "fully taken care of"..HAHA!....I was getting CORNROWS (about 30 of them). I should have known Marquisia Norton was an independent hair dresser about her money only and nothing else when she charged me $140 for 30 straight back cornrows (but I had already cancelled my other appointment because again she insisted she was the better choice).
If mama never told me anything about following my gut instinct boy oh boy did my hard head make a soft ass..
(BEFORE I BEGIN ANY PERSON WHO HAS HAD BRAIDS BEFORE KNOWS 30 CORNROWS IS NOTHING MORE THAN 2 HOURS)(IF THAT)
Marquisia Norton scheduled me for 9a, but called the morning of rescheduling for 11a "it was her clients fault"
Marquisia Norton is terrible with accepting responsibility (her boss got on her head during my experience about her organization skills with something about the shop, she proceeded to talk about how the boss needs to relax and so forth...failing to realize the reason she was being scolded about using other peoples chairs is because she needed to be organized with her clients in general..I digress....
I showed up at 10:47a to make sure the the hairdresser had plenty of time to get me in...but she was not even halfway done with the person in her chair. After sitting WAITING for 55 minutes, Marquisia Norton at last sat me in the chair. It was not until around 3p that I had about 5-7 braids done.....
She walked away and began working on another client that she irresponsibly scheduled. She had been running around doing and talking to everyone eating cupcakes and so forth, yet it had been four hours and I was not even a mile close to being done. I had to plead that she get off the other persons head because I had been in there all day and was ready to get things ROLLING.
7p rolled around and she finally was done. Marquisia Norton did not offer a discount for me being in the shop literally ALL day, my hair lasted for a week and six days, and oh yeah IF SHE TELLS YOU THAT SHE DOES GUARANTEE MONEY BACK IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED, RUN THE OTHER WAY WITH YOUR MONEY.
Jamie Gallant is the owner who I have sent messages to, called a good three times, as well as sent pictures to (as I was getting my hair done she too raved about how she is all about customer service)..I hope soon she can return my call of unsatisfactory...but if not my Yelp! review can for sure be a warning to the next person who contemplating spending money here...
BELOW ARE THE PICS OF MY HAIR AFTER BEING BRAIDED FOR ONE WEEK...this is not shedding....I have had my hair braided on numerous occasions THROUGHOUT my life and never has this happened.
My hair is thinner than it has ever been due to Marq. All she had to say was that I was not getting a coin back.
