I close this salon because I saw that they partnered with Children with Hair Loss and I was looking to donate my hair. I called on a Saturday looking to see if they could possibly get me in sometime that day. I spoke with the owner, who told me that they had openings that day but that she would prefer for me to come in a few days later. She wanted to make sure I got a really good cut and if I came in on Saturday she wasn’t she if I would receive that. I thought this was nice, but also slightly strange as she was essentially saying she didn’t trust certain stylists to cut hair well. When I showed up to the appointment, the stylist, didi, seemed really rushed. She told the owner that she would just have me fill out the paperwork after she cut my hair because she had another client coming in after me and needed to make sure she had time for them. So I already felt kind of awkward about my cut taking too long. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she seemed really hesitant to cut my hair that way. I had about ten inches cut off and I wanted lots of layers with short bangs. She asked me if I had my hair cut short before and I told her I had for years. When I told her I wanted my bangs about eye level she said “we will see about that”. I don’t think she intended it to come off the way it did, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, I think she did a good job on the cut, but I wish she had given me shorter layers and bangs. I would have asked for bangs, but her other client showed up and she seemed like she really wanted me out of the chair. The cut was $45, which I felt like was reasonable. I wouldn’t be returning in general, as I have my own stylist and only went here for the donation, but based on my experience alone I wouldn’t be interested in coming back.
