I recently moved to the Richmond area, seeking a braid shop whereas I may have my hair braid every 2-3 weeks. I called seeking an appointment, a man answered. I told him I wish to have a halo braid, he verbalized " hold let me check as everyone can't do those", he returned to the phone and I was given Sunday, November 11,2018 at 4PM. I arrived in time. I noted customers hair being braided, theirs looked great. When it was my turn I felt confident. The braider assigned to me struggle for more than an hour, she keep having to start over Eventually another person came over to help. When it was all said and done , the hair didn't match mines, I am natural, she filled my hair with gel, which caused it to itch terribly when it dried. I spent nearly 3 hours in that shop, paid them $50 for what was not a halo braid, my hair unraveled from the poorly braid synthetic hair on Tuesday , November 13,2018. What a waste of time and money. Quite frankly this was a donation/charity of my money.

My second time at this location and I was quite satisfied. Charmaine did a great job. Her braid technique was perfect for this tender head. Thanks Kady African Braiding!!ðŸ˜

This is the best hair braiding shop that I have ever been to! I cannot wait to go back for my next hairstyle. I like how they have a number that you can text to schedule an appointment or to ask any questions that you may have. I had a great experience all the way from the time that I made my appointment! I was skeptical on getting braids because lord knows i can't sit still for an extended period of time but Mrs.Orphelia braided my hair so quick and I just couldn't believe it. She finished my lemonade braids in about 3 hours and 15 minutes. She was very nice and checked with me several times to make sure that I was okay and to ensure that she wasn't braiding too tight. She also offered me drinks and chips. I felt very welcomed and appreciated all throughout the process.I already have my next hairstyle in mind and I am hoping that I can book with Mrs.Orphelia again because I love the way she braids.

I donâ€™t have motives you guys are trash it shouldnâ€™t take 2 times for you guys to get my hair right the first time is all it takes!!you own a business but yet you guys are still braiding like you just learn take it how you want it but for how ever reading this do not I repeat do not go to them my braids are horrible i didnâ€™t pay 180 for you unprofessional people to play in my head and for the manger Iâ€™ am gone text you and I would like to set up a appointment so you can redo my hair !

If I couldâ€™ve gave them ZERO stars I would have!!!! These is the worst place I have ever been to. I called and asked for Senegalese twist. First thing the owner does not work at the location. So someone quotes me a price for my hair and length. Once I get in the shop they was trying to charge more. I told them how much I had and how long. The lady told me that was fine. APPARENTLY it was not because as she is doing my hair the other ladies were arguing about the length and telling me it was going to be $20-40 more. 2. I asked the lady if they have brown/ golden blonde hair. The broader tells me no all they have is black. Once they are finishing up my hair I notice a braided goes back and get the color. So I asked the lady about the color she said o no I didnâ€™t see it, it must have been on the bottom. She then told me if I didnâ€™t like the color I couldâ€™ve stoped her while she was doing my hair!!!!! For what??? If you only have one color?? 3. I asked for Senegalese to be down my back. I have some to my shoulders, mid back, and lower. I asked the girl while she was doing my hair why are they different lengths? Her response was well in the back they have to be shorter to match the front. I ainâ€™t never heard no stuff like that. 4. The following day after getting my hair done I had twist coming out of my head. Like braid fully came out!!! Even with all that happening I finally spoke with the manager...... She refuses to give me any portion of my money back plus she said they can fix my hair but it wonâ€™t be until the Tuesday ( I got my hair done on Friday) My best advice SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! Find somewhere else to go
