Staff left an in progress hair cut (twice) to sign guests in through their phone app. There was no kiosk to sign in in such a case as one doesn't want an app. Staff used justification of online check in for making their numbers better - which indicates the owners / company are more concerned with tech than simply providing service. Staff shouldn't have to focus on online check-in when customers have physically entered the store, cash in hand, to give payment for services.
Later, a staff member answered the business phone and indicated that they do not accept call ahead, but "walk-in only." Considering I was checked in by an app of an employee, the employee could have (should have) signed in the caller on their app or directed the caller to the app.
There were 4 people ahead of me in queue but only one was physically present - which is fine.
If you just want to go to a place and get a hair cut without technology getting in the way then go somewhere else.
