I thought long and hard about writing this review. I don't like writing bad reviews because I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. However, the service I received by Sheila was not good...AT ALL! She claimed to be a braid artist and then made a mistake by not completing one of my braids and then didn't fix it. She also blamed me for her subpar job, claiming because I answered a question she asked it threw her off. Then, at the end she asked me to pay her $40 more than the agreed upon price!! She blamed me for not describing the style I wanted well enough, even though I gave her 3 angles of the design that made it VERY CLEAR what I wanted. If she had any questions, she should have asked. Finally, she and her brother, who lives there with her, got into a loud and aggressive shouting match while she was doing my hair. I couldn't wait to get out of there. NEVER AGAIN...AND NEVER SHOULD YOU!

UPDATE --- AVOID THIS WOMAN. She has been harassing me online since my initial review. She appears to be mentally unstable. If you're a black woman in Seattle feeling desperate to find a stylist, just try to find someone else. Trust me. It's not worth it to deal with this foolery. I notice anytime she gets a bad review she either slanders her customer on YouTube or declares the review to be fake (check Yelp). To attack your clients online and try to delegitimize their experiences is a sad way to conduct yourself as a provider of services. On Yelp, I've posted an in-depth account of my experience in response to the expletive-laced video she posted labeled with my name. Original Review: Not professional. Forgot my appointment, over processed my hair and ruined my color. Really just put the color on then went upstairs and disappeared for an inappropriate length of time. Salon smelled like weed which is fine but, like, really? This is your place of work. 2 stars because she gave my a good blow dry and flat iron and offered to correct my hair color at a later date but there was no way I'd let her anywhere near my head with chemicals again.

She was very nice and onetime and was very well detailed in her work. She was quick but not to quick to where she didn't pay attention to what she was doing. She was on time and made me feel very comfortable this is my second time seeing her and she NEVER disappoints I will be back SOON 💕

Sheila did an amazing job on my hair about 3 weeks ago. I was in a rush to find a hairstyle that would fit military standards and Sheila made sure I was ready to look fabulous at work! Thank you!
