Al is great! Very personable, friendly, and open to working with you to find a style you enjoy. He doesn't even get mad if you say, "I don't know" when he asks what you'd like to do!

Cannot even begin to tell you how impressed I am with this salon and Al in particular. Went last night for my 2nd haircut and this time, some color as well. I am an ex-hairdresser so I am knowledgeable and fairly particular about what I want. Al took all the time necessary to actually listen during our consultation and then provide suggestions based on my concerns and his expertise. It is obvious that he is not only a master hair-cutter, but also understands color theory and color customization. The salon has an intimate, yet current and comfortable vibe and Al was a pleasure to converse with throughout my appointment. I absolutely love my new cut and color and would highly recommend Taylor & Burton to anyone looking for an exceptional salon experience!

I have been going to Karen for color (highlights) and cut since 2008 and I love her work! The salon is low key, the price is reasonable, and Karen is a great person to boot. Her work is excellent and she listens to what you want and then does a great job meeting your expectations. I had been going to the pricey salons in the Chicago area and was tired of being abused by the 'attitude' and the high prices. I finally found Vivid and Karen and I won't be going to Chicago anymore! Karen is the best. Try her and you won't be disappointed!
