Inconsistent, lazy, overpaid

I have fine, delicate curly hair, but live with chronic illness. When I started seeing Wendy in 2018, she assured that she would give me consistently classic cuts, which my hair needs to avoid excess hair fall. The first cut was great. After that, it became apparent that Wendy was growing increasingly bored of giving me the same classic cut, yet high maintenance cuts lead to hair loss. After losing 2/3 of my hair by the fall of 2019, she gave me better cuts—to a point where only an 1/8 of my hair was missing by April 2022. By August 2022, Wendy left my hair in such shambles that even the owner of the salon gave me a refund. In four years Wendy went from a junior stylist to advanced, yet her cuts were inconsistent, and she could be careless and lazy. Wendy's lazy cut last August has set me back 2.5 years. I lost so much hair. Beware of this inconsistent, overpaid stylist if you have fine, delicate hair.

The best people, quality and honest product and that sense of community-mindedness that is difficult to come by in businesses. I get more compliments on my hair since going to Fish, but the truth is that they work to highlight what's already there and don't oversell. They listen and give you what you want and what's best for your lifestyle and hair type. A wholehearted recommendation! (And go see my girl Wendy! 👑)

I got the pleasure of having Ella work on my curls a while back. We did some soft babylights, slight trim and curtain bangs - By far best hair cut experience I've ever had. The location was convenient, the space was tidy and professional, atmosphere was very relaxing too which is always a perk! Ella was very thorough and did an incredible job, I will 100% be returning !

Rachel was totally amazing!! She listened to all of my (many) ideas and created something beautiful and I feel so much better about my hair. Also she is always so easy to chat to and an awesome listener. Thank you Rachel, I’ll never go to another hair dresser. ❤️ Keep doing what ya do!

I saw Amy for my first professional cut in years. I experience hormonal hair loss so I was feeling the need to change the shape of my cut to compensate for the decrease in volume. I felt so heard, pampered and taken care of by Amy and everyone at Fish salon. They are so knowledgeable and Amy gave me exactly what I described and more. Truly will be recommending her and the salon to everyone.

I had an amazing experience with Antonia, and highly recommend her to somebody looking for a curly hair cut. I’ve been seeing a different curl specialist in Victoria for quite a while who could never help me with my incredibly noticeable, very dry hair. Antonia shared with me one of Fish salon’s cleansers that immediately improved my hair. The cut she gave me is so flattering, and she’s so incredibly knowledgeable, willing to share all of her expertise if you have any questions. You can tell she cares about her clients, I can’t recommend trying her enough!!
