My mother and I went to this salon Wednesday with the hopes of walking out with an appointment. It had been previously recommended to us , praised to the highest degree. We walked into the salon and recieved a rather cold reception by all the women at the front desk, not even saying hello or welcome to us. I began to look at the products while my mother started to describe what she wanted. She was told the only way to have her hair dyed would be to cut a lot off, which is absolutely ridiculous given that you do not have to cut your hair in order to bleach and dye it. My mother was told that it was impossible for her to dye her hair grey and that it would turn out as "my hair", to which the woman referred to her orange caramel hair, rather than "her hair", referring to a woman who had bleach blonde hair, neither of which were the color my mom wanted. Given that I have previously had my hair dyed light blonde, I knew this was false information and if the job was done correctly, it would take one session and the color would be exactly what my mother wanted. When my mother expressed their stylists could not dye her hair how she wanted, given the woman just informed us they could not do it, the woman quickly back pedaled and said that only a little bit would have to be cut off. My mother and I promptly left, given the unprofessionalism and inability of the salon to give us what we wanted. I find it very confusing as we'd heard a great review of this salon and are very disapointed that we now have to go elsewhere.
I am very well aware of how bleaching and dyeing works, as I've dyed my hair several times throughout the last 7 years. None of the women mentioned the word "bleach" and they were very rude throughout the entire transaction. I am shocked and appalled at this experience, especially given I emailed them privately with this issue and the woman who emailed me back was just as rude, and extremely condescending. I hope, in the future, this salon works on its customer service.
