I've been contemplating posting this review, however I feel good and poor customer service deserves recognition.
I booked Shades of Bliss September 2016 (yes, a year ago) for my entire wedding party on our wedding day, plus mothers. We were all booked in, ready to go, hair trials set.
I get a call the week before our hair trials, informing me that she couldn't likely accommodate my wedding party anymore as she had a stylist quit (This was in May) and wasn't sure if she would be replaced by September 2017. Fine, that's understandable - and I know that the salon is only open 9-12 on Saturdays - but to do 2 mom's hair, 4 bridesmaids and a bride - most of them very simply curls - they would still be able to get everyone done, even with 2 stylists. Even if they had to stay an extra half hour for the bride and her girls. I was informed that, "she stays late all the time for HER clients"
I said I didn't see the dilemma then...and she tells me that she had booked in her regulars back in January for cuts and colors on this day as well. When I asked her if the regulars are more important than a wedding party of 7, I was just informed that "they're her regular clients". I asked her to call her regulars to see if they can get their hair cut another day, and she told me she would call me back.
3 months go by, I still haven't heard from her - so I am assuming her "regulars" don't want to move their haircuts?
That's okay though, I was quite upset with the demeanor and attitude that I was given, I called her competition down the street - a salon with only 2 girls - who were VERY happy to work with me and accommodate us.
Needless to say, my in-laws have been in town for more years than the salon owner has likely been in charge, and while yes - I am not a regular - I will be a town resident for the rest of my life. However, I will not be bringing myself, my family or my friends to this salon.
Best of luck!
