I’ve only been going to Studio 21 Downtown for a few months but I think I’ve found my salon home. I wasn’t looking for a bob, but another salon gave me one - and bad one at that. Emily has been able to help me grow out layers and finally, after several months, give me a cut I actually love. Even on a rainy day today, I’m so happy with my hair. She does a fantastic job, is detailed, friendly and approachable - all things you want in someone who helps you present your best self! Thank you Emily!

I was passing through Birmingham and needed a shampoo and blow out. I was skeptical whether the stylist could deliver results with my kinky curly hair. Thank goodness Lauren delivered AWESOME results. She had the right brush, the right techniques, and the right attitude. No frizzy ends with Lauren. I was pleasantly surprised. Two thumbs up for Lauren. You ROCK!!! Sisters - if you need a quick blowout, trust Lauren, she will not disappoint you. Thanks Lauren - Brenda.

Samantha has been my stylist for several years. I want to take this opportunity to thank her for relieving my hair anxiety. My hair is naturally curly/wavy, and I've found it difficult to find stylists that can provide a quality cut that works just as well worn naturally as it does straight. I am always confident that I will walk out of the Downtown location with a flattering, professional cut and color. The Downtown location is always clean, well lit, comfortable, and chic. Same goes for Highway 280! Search no more. Studio 21 is the best!

Ally has been doing my hair for about 3 years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else! I have very thick, very curly hair and she always manages to cut, style, and color it perfectly. If you're looking for a new style or stylist Ally Clarke is your girl!

I went into studio 21 with high hopes because all of the great reviews I have read. However, I was soon horrified by the end results. I came in with approximately 5” of new growth (natural hair color) and the ends of my hair was bleached blonde. The bleach process was previously done professionally over 6 months ago. I scheduled an appointment to have an all over color to go back to my natural hair color. My natural hair color is light brown with natural highlights. The color I ended up with is a very dark brown. Several shades darker than my natural hair color. My natural hair color is like Anna Hathaway light brown but I ended up with Kim Kardashian dark brown hair. It’s super frustrating that it will take years to grow out and I am getting married in one year and I’m not sure how to fix it other than bleach it and dye it again. I’ll have to wait a couple months to dye my hair too. Overall I am very unhappy and wish I never went. I went back to studio 21 because they promised to fix their mixtake. I was hopeful once again, but I should not have been. They did a soap cap which is bleach and shampoo mixture. So they had to bleach all of my hair which I was told they wouldn’t have to do to fix it. I came out with strawberry blonde hair with a lot of orange tones even after they put the color in. They said they wanted to dye it a lighter color first and then go darker if necessary. I was so scared to let them do anything else to my hair that I left with my hair not being the color promised again. I would never go or recommend. I never thought brown hair was a difficult color to dye.
