I first went to the salon on New Year's eve and received a fantastic haircut from Brenda. She gave me the exact cut I asked for. Called to make another appointment with her in March and was told she wasn't available for 6 weeks. The girl who answered the phone asked what I needed and I told her that I only needed a trim for my long bobbed hair. She asked me to hold for a moment and came back and said that the manager, Linda, said she would squeeze me in if all I needed was a trim. I made an appointment to come in on a Saturday for Linda to trim my hair. When I arrived Linda was in the middle of a color and she yelled for a girl in the back of the salon and asked her to shampoo me. Amazingly, she also asked her if she would like to trim my hair. Stylist, Catherine, proceeded to shampoo my hair while pushing product and trying to take me into highlights. After she finished my shampoo she asked if she could trim my hair. I told her I only wanted a trim, and she said no problem. I told her that I like my hair all one length with light layers only on the end, I have to be able to pull it up when needed, and that I only wanted 1-1 1/2 inches cut off. She kept reassuring me that she understood. I left the salon in tears....she cut about 5-6 inches off the back of my hair. She gave me a style that was no where what I asked for. I should have not paid but did not realize how bad it was until I left. I have waited until now to post this because I did not want to vent while I was so upset. I would think that Stylist 101 would teach one to listen to the client. I guess not. I will never go to this salon again and would advise anyone I cared for to steer clear!! Very unprofessional environment.
