Went to get my hair cut and colored for the first time in ages and had a mixed experience. Color itself came out nice but not consistent throughout my hair. She didn't cut my hair the way I asked nor did she after I asked her to fix it. Took 8 hours to color my hair. Staff is very nice and the woman that did my hair seemed quite nice if not overly complimentary in trying to get me to overlook the issues. Hair products are very expensive but nice quality and they don't push them. All in all spent $400 on what I felt was only really worth $250. This included "cut", color, shampoo & conditioner and tip. If getting basic work done it shouldn't be an issue but if getting something more intricate done make sure to stay on top of the process, results and be extremely clear on what you want the end result to be. She also lightened my hair a great deal more than she said she would have to during the consultation and unevenly so as you can see in photos.

Great place to get a haircut. Rachel has been my stylist for over a year and she is awesome. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I love their electronic text reminders. I would recommend to anyone.

When residing in Columbus, I stumbled upon 501 Salon and I am so happy I did. Rachel is wonderful at balayage! I was getting ready for my wedding so we planned a year ahead on getting the perfect blonde color. My hair wasn't damaged and the final color was beautiful. Having long hair for the majority of my life, I did trust Rachel to chop it off after the wedding. I tried to switch it up and having shorter hair was great. I never knew I would have liked it so much. I highly recommend this salon. Staff is so welcoming and friendly and it's always clean. The girls don't even have drama amongst themselves which is s refresher.

I had Melissa cut and color my hair. She did an amazing job, very fresh and modern looking. I had so many dead ends and she cut it at a perfect length. Color came out beautiful; went from washed out yellow highlights to a rich caramel color!!! Highly recommend.

Kanani is so awesome I really trust her she's always just known what to do with my hair. No matter what kind of rats nest I bring in. But this salon is amazing as well. So relaxing and one time they just gave me a facial for free. Like whaaaaaa?... Lol but seriously they take GREAT care of me. Love them.
